The Rt. Rev. Alfred Mateyu Chaima, Bishop of Zomba Diocese, recently undertook an important visit to the Zomba Diocese Social Directorate, marking his first familiarisation visit since assuming office in August, 2023.
Addressing the attendees, Bishop Chaima commended the members of the Social directorate for their dedication, emphasizing the important role they play in upholding the values of compassion and humanity. He assured them of his ongoing support and highlighted the need for adherence to both government laws, Church laws and donor requirements, reinforcing the diocese's dedication to community service. This engagement not only strengthens the directorate's mission but also highlights the Bishop's vision for a united and proactive church in serving society's needs.
The meeting was attended by key figures of the Social Directorate such as the Executive Director, Fr. Patrick Kamba, the Education Coordinator, Fr. Benedict Liyao, and the Diocesan CADECOM Coordinator, Sr. Patricia Mauya and may others as seen on the photo.
